Base Storyline:
It wouldn't exactly make sense if all these characters from blatantly different worlds were all interacting and meeting without a logical explanation, now would it? Therefor, please read the following so you understand the basic concept of the site.
In an undetermined time in the distant future, a radical scientist, Professor Mertilus Vector, was a top scientist in the production of Reploids, not to mention other fields of mechanical expertise. But his genius turned to arrogance, and he would no longer be content to be anything less than the ruler of all. Thus, constructing a space station known as New Eden, from which he planned to rule all, he unleashed an army of Reploid war machines with the intent to 'cleanse' the earth.
Before they could arrive on earth, a battle ensued on the surface of the moon against earth's military forces. All hope seemed lost for the earth, until a scientist was able to produce a virus program capable of halting the Professors powerful Reploids, and New Eden itself. With his war lost, Professor Vector vanishes, never to be seen again.
Over three hundred years pass, and the ancient war now told only in class rooms to students as history lessons, seem to be a distant nightmare, long forgotten by the population. Peace, for the most part, has returned to the planet, and although tension caused by such disturbances as Mavericks seem to be an on-going drama, thanks to top-of-the-line Maverick Hunters, the threat is kept in check.
One day, however, a dark force gathers in the sky, shrouding the world in darkness. When the corrupted aether clears, humanity finds that a terrible distortion in the space, time continuum has occurred. The barriers which separate time, space, and dimensions seems to be corroding away, slowly weakening. As such, the walls which separate worlds are beginning to waver, causing a reality crash in which worlds are beginning to merge together.
Finding themselves in a strange new world the heroes from across time and space must uncover the truth behind these dimensional distortions and return balance to reality. As time passes, the stability of the universe grows more tainted. If the heroes are unable to to restore their worlds to normal, then reality will eventually collapse in upon itself, destroying the universe as we know it.
However, there are those who would see fit to exploit the dimensional ripples for their own personal gain and ideals. Either unaware, or uncaring, of the implications the reality crash holds, they will stop at nothing to thwart the efforts of the heroes and take full benefit over the gateways which now link various worlds.
With the lines drawn, and sides chosen, the struggle to restore reality starts here. And so begins the Capcom Reality Crash.
